I have this thing’s predecessor, sketch wise, on my site as well. It is intriguing to see how my skill with the pencil and PhotoShop has evolved over a year. I redid this because someone criticized the old one saying it made no sense to how it could fly or function. Despite the fact it was only a drawing, I agreed, and decided to make this star fighter seem almost real and leave no detail unturned. If you see something I may have left out, chances are I could easily explain it away. I have thought long and hard on this one. Man, I am a nerd.
thats pretty damn cool.... nice to see i aint the only one who has to explain every little detail away....

I love how grungy and rugged the ship is - too often futuristic craft are displayed all shiney, smooth, and new ( although, I do like retro scifi ). I like how it stayed true to the original and was just tweaked up and solidified. Only one thing I think it needs: some bullet/plasma damage!
Great work on the background, too - I can't for the life of me make a simplistic background that looks good.
I see you used so existing aircraft products to make this crafts design. Very ingenious. Is the teal hatch that way practically or is it just a design element that it is that color.

Bingo. Glass is too fragile for the strains placed upon a warship, so the pilot relies on a virtual display created from a combination of the ships sensors and exterior cameras.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
